Following a review and as part of our investment in our people we have adopted a living wage for employees from November 2012, a logical step as part of our commitment to working towards alleviating wage poverty and being an ethical employer. The living wage is an hourly wage rate set independently and updated annually by the Centre for Research in Social Policy and is set at a level to be enough to make sure workers and their families can live free from poverty. We would urge others to follow our lead and it is our aspiration to encourage those we buy our goods and services from to do the same.
