United Biscuits - Ashby-de-la-Zouch

Darwin Project to provide an extension to the sites existing highbay warehouse and associated external works.

United Biscuits main UK distribution centre hub is at Ashby-de-la-Zouch where it provides about 2,000 jobs at its distribution centre, which houses and transports all its products throughout the country. The biscuit, cake and snack manufacturer, which makes brands including McVitie’s, Jacob’s and McCoy’s, distributes all products from the site from an increased storage capacity. It is tasked with ensuring that the right products go to the right customers in the right place at the right time, every time.

It has pallets stored 12 high with run lengths of 100m which are being extended into the 38m long extension, it is one of the tallest distribution centres in the UK with the top pallet at 18.5m.
