Houlton and our Sub-contractors working at KP Snacks Teesside held a 2 minutes silence at 11am on the eleventh day of the eleventh month to pay their respects and commemorate the service men and women and civilians who lost their lives in two World Wars and numerous other conflicts.

Armistice Day has been marked on 11 November every year since 1919 - a year after the Allied forces signed an agreement with the Germans that would end WW1 at 11:00 in the morning. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One, 70 years since the D-Day landings and the end of Britain's conflict in Afghanistan.
