Hull College Students
On 9th March 2016 we were pleased to welcome 11 students from Hull College BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment course to our Ferens Art Gallery site for a 4 hour visit, initially an induction followed by a talk about the role of project management and finally a walk around the site.
We received some excellent feedback from the college tutor on behalf of the students and there are a further visits by this group scheduled to see progress on the project in May and June.
In addition to this visit the site will be hosting students weekly for a full day of work experience with 5 students gaining valuable site based experience between March and June 2016, these students will also be spending a full day within our different departments at our Head Office. They will get broad work experience of the differing roles in the construction industry working in the office with estimators, quantity surveyors, health & safety officer and contract administration.
This is another good example of our continued support for our local educational establishments.
