After many attempts, and an unfavourable weather forecast, we finally got the inaugural Houlton golf meeting off the ground. Despite a few being unable to get there on the day, the competition went ahead at Cottingham Parks Golf and Leisure Club on Saturday 2nd June.

Organiser Nik Kilsby said  " We didn’t manage to set any course records, but the match was played in the best spirit of the game with no shortage of friendly banter thrown in for good measure and I think I speak for us all when I say the day was a success and everyone enjoyed themselves."

Nik also wanted to issue special thanks to Paul Dickerson who, despite not having seen his clubs for over 2 years dusted them, and himself off and got round losing only 2 or 3 balls.

Prizes were on offer to make the day a little more interesting and the winners were pictured with their trophies.
