Houlton have completed a scheme, let  by Yorkshire Water to construct a new feature building as the centre piece at the Tophill Low Nature Reserve near Driffield.

The new Hide combines classroom facilities, overlooking the dipping pond, a public viewing gallery with large picture windows to view the reservoir and a twenty-four hour twitcher’s hide for the dedicated bird watchers wanting to catch migratory birds on their last stop in the country before departing to warmer climes. This deceptively simple building provides separation between different user groups.

Working along side Mason Clark Associates, who were running the project for the client and Group Ginger, the appointed Architects, the construction phase took 30 weeks and the facility is due to be open to the public later this year when Yorkshire Water have completed their landscaping and constructed new pathways and ramps.
