Pea Processing Plant

A transferred pea processing facility from their former factory on Hessle Road, in part, to enhance the current Norbert Dentressangle site in Hull to have the capability of processing peas at up to 61tonnes/hour, and over a standard pea season to produce 44,500 tonnes of frozen product.

Essentially a clad portal frame with a central concrete mezzanine to support the Cabinplant Integrated-Blancher-Coolers, 34m x 75m x 9.5m high with a pitched roof. All internal finishes are suitable for hygienic efficacy and vary dependant upon product risk and local environmental conditions.

Upgraded services were installed to match the total site requirement to meet the needs of additional process equipment and ancillary equipment.The existing Cabinplant lines, including a newly procured cleaning assembly were transferred to the new building and installed parallel to each other in a 3 x 16 tonne/hour format. This includes the reception hoppers and existing Frigoscandia freezers.
