Accounts Assistant / Apprentice

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Accounts Assistant/Apprentice in our busy, yet friendly accounting team based in Hull.  The accounting team is responsible for maintaining an efficient, organised and accurate finance function for the business and the Accounts Assistant/Apprentice will be responsible for assisting with a variety of day-to-day operations as follows:

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration of incoming/outgoing post
  • Sales and purchase ledger inputting
  • General account work
  • Filing/scanning
  • General office duties and reception cover
  • Assisting the team where required

Training will be provided and the successful candidate will be encouraged to study towards a formal accounting qualification.

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Very good levels of numeracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Site Manager - Construction Division:

The ideal candidate will fit the following criteria and have the ability to excel in the requirements of the job description.

Location within easy access of our offices, this we would consider inside 50 minutes of travel.

10 years solid track record in delivering contracts over £1m to £10m from commencement to completion as the number one Site Manager.

Applicant Profile

  • 10 years solid track record in delivering contracts over £1m to £10m from commencement to completion as the number one Site Manager.
  • Career in construction, public and private sectors employed by a Main Contractor.
  • Continuous experience with a large regional or national builder.
  • Ability to lead.
  • Location within easy access of our offices, this we would consider inside 50 minutes of travel.

  • Total responsibility for allocated project

  • Successful contract in terms of time and margin, quality and safety
  • Rapid and satisfactory completion of customer complaints and defects
  • Handovers are a celebration of successful delivery
  • Effective Management of the Design Process

Formal Qualifications and Skills

  • CITB 5-Day Safety Awareness
  • CSCS Site Manager
  • Good knowledge of IT - E-Mail, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project
  • Equal Opportunities awareness
  • Contract Awareness
