Estimator / Senior Estimator – Construction Division:

This is a permanent role and the ideal candidate will have a strong background working for a regional or national main contractor pricing contracts in excess of £1m.

Job Title: Estimator

Responsible to: Commercial Director

Key Responsibilities include:

  •  Responsible for producing priced tenders by set deadline;
  • Checking and reviewing tender documentation;
  • Producing Bills of Materials and Bills of Quantities;
  • Procuring an adequate spread of material / sub-contract prices;
  • Producing quote comparisons;
  • Producing a competitive net cost estimate commensurate with risk;
  • Comprehensive handover of estimate files

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher Education Qualification in a Construction Discipline;
  • Thorough knowledge of the build process;
  • Contractual awareness;
  • Good understanding of IT including Conquest software

Contracts Manager – Building & Maintenance Division:

Due to a period of continued planned growth and internal promotion our Building and Maintenance division require a Contracts Manager.

This is a permanent role and the ideal candidate will fit the following criteria and have the ability to excel in the requirements of the job description.

Applicant profile

  • Solid track record of delivering successful contracts ranging from small maintenance works up to projects with a value of £2m.
  • Ability to organise and lead a team of directly employed and subcontract labour.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Subcontractors and Suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients across a range of Business Sectors.
  • An aptitude for high standards of safety and quality.
  • Capability to support tender submissions in terms of programme and methodology.
  • Location within easy access of our Offices.

Job description

  • Lead responsibility for delivering allocated projects ensuring the Client is delighted with the process and the delivery.
  • Building and managing the delivery team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients.
  • Pricing, delivering and invoicing minor works projects.
  • Meeting Company and contractual targets, including when applicable BREEAM and framework outputs.
  • Supporting tender submissions.

Preferred Formal Qualifications

  • Construction Degree or equivalent
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Building
  • Minimum safety qualification of SMSTS
  • CSCS

ICT Support Technician:

The ideal candidate will fit the following criteria and have the ability to excel in the requirements of the job description.

Location within easy access of our offices, this we would consider inside 50 minutes of travel.

Applicant Profile

  • To gain experience in the work place across various aspects of ICT including software, hardware, networking, telephony, mobile and tablets
  • Tasks could range from initial problem solving on PC’s and laptops to installation of software, maintenance and security of existing systems
  • Additionally, experience will be gained on the setup, management and usage of mobile phones and communication

Job Description

Job Title: ICT Support Technician
Responsible to:  ICT Manager

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the ICT Manager with installation, configuration and maintenance of ICT hardware and software
  • Problem solving and reactive response to users regarding PC’s, laptops, printers, landline telephones, connectivity, mobiles, data phones and tablets
  • Organise, plan and prioritise own work effectively including meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills in person, by email and telephone
  • Support with systems administration for the ICT department including back-up, security and access procedures
  • Involvement with ICT asset management and documentation for policies and procedures
  • Assistance with any staff training requirements
  • Support with delivering a high level of internal and external customer service
  • Create documentation and user guides for systems and applications
  • Understanding and participation in the Company’s Environmental Policy
  • Understanding and participating in the Company’s Health & Safety Policy

Formal Qualifications and Skills

  • Good knowledge of ICT - Microsoft Office (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher)
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in ICT
  • Some knowledge of computer systems/networks and a range of software applications preferred
  • Some knowledge of telephony-related functionality (landlines, mobiles) and tablets preferred
