Due to a period of continued planned growth our Building & Maintenance division require a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator.
The ideal candidate will fit the following criteria and have the ability to excel in the requirements of the job description.
Location within easy access of our offices, this we would consider inside 50 minutes of travel.
The individual will have a minimum of 2 years experience working within the Construction Industry.
A positive attitude is essential and a willingness to adapt to changing conditions.
A team player.
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Estimator
Responsible to: Building & Maintenance Commercial Manager
Job Role: To provide Quantity Surveying and Estimating support within the busy Building and Maintenance Department
Formal Qualifications and Skills
The successful candidate as a minimum standard will have, or be working towards obtaining a HNC or equivalent in a construction based subject - support with further education/training will be considered
Ability to be flexible and work closely with the existing Building and Maintenance team.
The applicant should be commercially aware.
Have confidence working with a varied Client Portfolio and Supply Chain on a variety of contracts from reactive maintenance to £1.5m schemes
Good knowledge of IT - E-Mail, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project. The successful candidate will also be expected to learn about and use our in house accounts and document storage software applications.
