The project involved the removal of the front façade of the building on Blossom Street, York plus the strip out of internal fittings, removal of roof coverings and wall structure with the associated external envelope requirements.
The works included erection of access scaffolding, removal of the frontal façade of the building from the ground floor to the second floor, removal of all existing fenestration, construction of a new frontal façade incorporating facing brick and rendered panels, the stripping off of all existing roof coverings, erection of a new steel framed structure to provide additional accommodation at third floor level and the installation of aluminium PPC windows, doors and curtain walling to the external elevations
On completion of the above works, the building was handed over to the Client for fit out as new Premier Inn accomodation.
