Sandtoft Roof Tile Factory

Houlton has continued an established link with another local firm Sandtoft to increase the nation’s production of natural clay roof tiles.

Following earlier factory extensions and other site works the company completed a major expansion of the Sandtoft Tile Company’s factory at Broomfleet, close to the Humber bank just upstream of Brough, which was already the country’s biggest clay tile production unit. The company has led many of pitched roofing’s most significant design developments over recent years and played a key role in manufacturing hand made, bespoke tiles for some of the country’s best loved and intricate roof restoration projects.
