New Fruit & Veg Shop

Alan Johnson MP was guest of honour at the grand opening of a long-awaited new arrival to the retail offer on Hull’s Thornton Estate. The MP for Hull West and Hessle helped officially open the new fruit and veg shop on the Thornton Parade after Houlton carried out a full refurbishment of a previously unoccupied shop unit.

This new shop is operated by local volunteers who came together to form the Thornton Fresh Food Co-operative in a bid to supply their community with quality, fresh, healthy produce.
