Bransholme Police Station

The remodelling of Bransholme Police Station was a key part of the Humberside Police Estates Strategy and the refurbished facility provides a more efficient use of the building and site, accommodating two Neighbourhood Police Teams (NPTs) and Crime Management teams from Tower Grange Police Station.

The project was tendered through a mini-competition within the YORbuild Contractors Framework and Houlton submitted the winning bid which was seen as providing value for money and would use the local supply chain to undertake much of the works.

The works involved extensive internal alterations, window and door replacement, replacement of mechanical and electrical systems, new energy efficient boilers, photovoltaic roof panels, improved alarm and CCTV systems and upgraded ICT system. It also included a small extension incorporating office, waiting and consulting rooms and external landscaping works plus access into and around the building was improved for all building users.
