This project was for the £2m second phase of a major reconfiguration project to improve the accident and emergency department at Hull Royal Infirmary. The work also involved construction of a new access road at the rear of the hospital to allow construction of an extension as part of the re-development.
Houlton’s successful relationship with the University of Hull continued with the construction of the £4.1m Allam Building on the Cottingham Road campus.
Hull Trinity House has a rich history, and an excellent track record, but it was realised that the existing buildings were no longer adequate to cater for pupils.
The works involved the full strip out and remodelling and refurbishment of the West ground floor of the Wilberforce Building including new teaching spaces, new mechanical and electrical services and the installation of a new glazed entrance and new glazed link to connect to the East gound floor.
