CASE received funding from Social Enterprise Investment Fund to completely renovate the interior and the outside of the building with new room layouts, a lift and full disabled access. The aim was to create a “Learning Disability Centre of Excellence”.
This project was for the £2m second phase of a major reconfiguration project to improve the accident and emergency department at Hull Royal Infirmary. The work also involved construction of a new access road at the rear of the hospital to allow construction of an extension as part of the re-development.
Houlton’s successful relationship with the University of Hull continued with the construction of the £4.1m Allam Building on the Cottingham Road campus.
Hull Trinity House has a rich history, and an excellent track record, but it was realised that the existing buildings were no longer adequate to cater for pupils.
