Flemingate Refurbishment Completed For Wykeland

Houlton were awarded the tender to carry out the refurbishment of 17-19 Flemingate by Wykeland Group following competitive tender.

The building was being remodelled to be used by Linkeage, the East Riding’s first further education college for young people with learning disabilities. The facilities offer a safe and calm learning environment for users and is just a stone’s throw away from the town’s plentiful opportunities for enrichment, community engagement and work placements.

The refurbishment included, but was not limited to:-

• Repair and decoration of windows, along with new entrance glazing
• Re pointing of brick work, roof works and repairs to guttering repairs
• New ramp to rear entrance and glass canopy
• Install damp proofing and insulation to floors and re screed
• New wall linings, doors and skirtings
• Installation of new steel staircase and access lift
• M&E works included full rewire, new fire alarm system and heating system and well as services to new WC's and shower facilities
• Full decoration and new floor finishes
