Hull Royal Infirmary Emergency Department Reconfiguration Houlton undertook the £3.5m third and fourth phases of the Emergency Department Reconfiguration Scheme at Hull Royal Infirmary after successfully completing the new Adult Emergency Care’ area and the Children’s Emergency Department which opened previously.This YORbuild project also involved construction of new extensions at the rear and sides of the hospital as part of the re-development.

Flood Damage Repairs 2013 - 2014

Weather forecasters were proved right on Thursday 5 December 2013 when at 18.45 flood defences in the City of Hull were breached. The combination of severe weather and high tides resulted in 5.8m tidal surge topping flood defences and docks. Hull is the Headquarters of Smith & Nephew’s Advanced Wound Management Division and is where some of the most innovative wound management dressings in the healthcare market are manufactured.
