New Fruit & Veg Shop
Alan Johnson MP was guest of honour at the grand opening of a long-awaited new arrival to the retail offer on Hull’s Thornton Estate. The MP for Hull West and Hessle helped officially open the new fruit and veg shop on the Thornton Parade after Houlton carried out a full refurbishment of a previously unoccupied shop unit.

NHBC Remedial Works Contractor for Hull & Yorkshire Regions.
During a 9 year period between 2005 - 2013, Houlton was the nominated National House-Building Council’s Remedial Works Term Contractor for the Hull and Yorkshire regions. The work comprised the investigation and rectification of defects and damage to domestic homes covered by the NHBC Buildmark insurance backed guarantee scheme

Charterhouse Bell Tower
The Building & Maintenance team were proud to return the Charter House bell tower in Hull to its former glory and picked up a Hull Civic Society Good Mark Award. The £60,000 project to replace the Charter House bell tower was praised for ‘maintaining the high level of craftsmanship skills necessary for the reconstruction of the cupola’.
