Major Solar Photovoltaic Installations for the East Riding of Yorkshire Council

As part of YORbuild Lot 3 (£500k-£1m) projects Houlton were appointed to install major solar photovoltaic panels across the corporate estate of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council in two phases.

The  authority was seeking to reduce its carbon footprint through efficient and sustainable energy sources and as such key installations at Goole Depot, Melton Supplies, Carnaby Depot, Beverley Depot, Bessingby Business Centre, Market Weighton Depot and the Treasure House, Beverley were identified for retro fitting panels to the existing roofs. This called for structural assessment, existing services surveys and the impact on finishings. Each location was required to remain fully operational which required management of issues of interface with end users.
