Work Nearing Completion at Britcom International

Houlton are busy completing the new workshop for East Yorkshire commercial vehicle and heavy plant specialist Britcom International in Market Weighton.

Britcom are a leading supplier and exporter of quality used commercial vehicles and due to the continued expansion of their successful vehicle engineering department we are constructing a new 6 bay workshop which incorporates a 10 tonne overhead crane, authorised testing facilities-approved inspection pit and brake roller.

The investment at their 14 acre York Road site takes capacity up to 20 workshop bays setting the business up to enter its 40th anniversary year.

Chris Urwin, joint managing director of the £27 million turnover firm, said: “Britcom has always taken a long-term view of the business climate and whilst the current pandemic will certainly bring challenging times, we firmly believe in the opportunities we have to grow the chassis engineering and truck bodybuilding operation.”
