Fire Safety Improvement Scheme for East Riding Of Yorkshire Council

Diera Court in Driffield is an assisted living community managed by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and was the inaugural scheme completed under the new Fire Safety Improvements contract Houlton were awarded following a tender process facilitated under the YORbuild 2 framework.

Over a 4 week duration, our new Fire Division fitted almost 100 fire doors to 41 properties, their bin stores, communal areas and service cupboards. We also undertook fire compartment remedial works as advised following ERYC fire risk assessments.

The success of the scheme was due in part to the close liaison with the tenants, ensuring that we hit the arranged installation times and carried out the work safely and also respecting our COVID-19 guidance for on site working.

Diera Court is part of a four year contract let by the council to carry out fire safety improvements on identified assets throughout the East Riding.
