Fundraising Jimmy Jennison Looks Set to Spend Time Behind Bars in Charity Lock Up

Trinity Market and Hepworth Arcade are throwing a party on Friday 19 October 2019, as they have been shortlisted in in this year’s prestigious Great British High Street (GBHS) Awards in the Champion High Street category. The category features the best high streets in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. To welcome the judges and celebrate the success of the market and arcade, there will be a live DJ playing music in the Trinity Market food court as well as a magician entertaining shoppers and visitors. Councillor Daren Hale, portfolio holder for regeneration, said: "Trinity Market and Hepworth Arcade are playing a major role in making this historic part of Hull once again a bustling and thriving part of the city.  They have done brilliantly to be shortlisted for this award. "The regeneration of the Old Town has been phenomenal, with the incredibly successful Old Town Grant Scheme, which has helped many of the businesses in the market and the arcade, last month being recognised at the APSE Annual Service Awards." Trinity Market’s refurbishment and the grant scheme were made possible in part by a contribution of £3m for the Repurposing the Old Town programme from the Government’s Northern Powerhouse Local Growth Fund. This was secured by the Humber LEP through its Growth Deals with government.
