Houlton are delighted to announce that we have received our Q-Mark Certification from BM Trada for the installation and maintenance of fire doors.

As part of our 140 year celebrations employees were asked for ideas on how we could celebrate 140 years in construction. One idea that particularly resonated was commemorative tree planting.

As part of our 140 year celebrations employees were asked for ideas on how we could celebrate 140 years in construction. One of the ideas was commemorative tree planting. This gave us the opportunity to give something back to the community, help the environment and leave a legacy within the city that could last for another 140 years. 

November the 8th 1879 was determined as the date that Houlton was established by George Houlton Snr.. To mark the occasion of our 140th Birthday we gathered operatives, office staff and as many site staff as practically possible and set up a big breakfast servery within the fitters shop.

To show our support for the upcoming World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2019, we are holding a series of Workshops & Toolbox Talks for all employees and our supply chain throughout October and November.

Rosanna James from The Hull & East Riding Children's University popped in to receive the efforts from fund raising by Houlton staff. Rose and the charity received a cheque for £892.43 which was presented by Managing Director Andrew Kingston.
