Last week, the Houlton team came together to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning — and thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised £174.18. With Houlton match funding this amount, our total donation reached an amazing £348.36 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

On Saturday, the Houlton Has-Beens laced up their boots and took to the pitch for the Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University Charity Football Match — and what a day it was!

After nearly 20 years with Houlton, Dave Peace, our long-serving ICT Manager, is retiring.

This year marks an incredible milestone as we celebrate 25 years of service from Helen Evington.

Helen joined the company in 2000 as a receptionist. It wasn’t long before she transitioned into the Building and Maintenance Division as an administrator—a move that would shape the next two and a half decades of her career.

Her knowledge, organisational skills and experience have earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues across all departments. A true asset to the company.

Now, as Helen embarks on her new journey as Operations Coordinator, we’re excited to see her bring the same dedication and excellence to this new chapter.

Helen, thank you for 25 years of outstanding service, commitment, and loyalty.

On Tuesday, three lucky members of our team – Helen, Tim and Riannon – had the privilege of joining a fantastic class from Woodland Primary School for the brand new ‘Blitz Experience’, organised by Hull & East Yorkshire Children’s University (HEYCU).

Jonathan Collinson has now reached an incredible milestone, marking 25 years with Houlton!

On Tuesday, 1st April, we welcomed 10 enthusiastic pupils from Bude Park Primary School to our working site, where they helped plant a variety of trees around the perimeter of the newly developed pitches.

Houlton was proud to continue supporting this year’s Lifestyle Night Challenge, an overnight endurance event where young people test their teamwork and resilience. This year’s theme focused on coercive control, raising awareness about recognising and preventing unhealthy relationships.
