Rosanna James from The Hull & East Riding Children's University popped in to receive the efforts from fund raising by Houlton staff. Rose and the charity received a cheque for £892.43 which was presented by Managing Director Andrew Kingston.

The money was collected at Houlton's fun day, and proceeds from a  wine sale and a raffle also added to the total.

Houlton have been supporting the Children's University for over two years. The charity works with children with challenging backgrounds and provides learning experiences for children who may otherwise never get a chance to take part in them. As an inclusive organisation,  it takes full classes of children on these life experiences.  Whether it is a trip to London to have a sleepover under the dinosaurs in the Natural History Museum, or if it is visiting a local business to learn about that industry, the aim is that all of the children leave these experiences happy, excited and with new aspirations that they will hopefully carry with them into adulthood.
