On Tuesday, 1st April, we welcomed 10 enthusiastic pupils from Bude Park Primary School to our working site, where they helped plant a variety of trees around the perimeter of the newly developed pitches.

The pupils got hands-on experience planting over 20 trees, including Rowan, Holly, Alder, Aspen, Birch, and Willow, with fantastic support from Landplan. Their enthusiasm was brilliant to see, making it a fun and rewarding morning for everyone involved!

We were also pleased to welcome Carmen Taylor, Head of Major Projects at Hull City Council, to the site to see the progress of the works and take part in the day’s activities.

This project includes the construction of a brand-new changing pavilion and significant improvements to the existing football pitches, including enhanced drainage. The pavilion will feature modern changing rooms, referee facilities, toilets, showers, and a kitchen with access from the playing fields—perfect for providing hot drinks and snacks to players and visitors.

Additionally, the project includes an expansion of the existing car park to improve accessibility, with designated spaces for motorcycles, EV charging points, and a secure compound set further back for equipment storage.

Hull City Council is delivering this project in partnership with Esteem and Geo. Houlton & Sons, with funding support from the Football Foundation.
