After more than 26 years of dedication, leadership and commitment, we would like to congratulate our Managing Director, Andrew Kingston, as he begins his journey towards retirement.
Andrew joined Houlton in January 2000 as Head of Building & Maintenance and quickly made a lasting impact. Following his promotion to Director in 2002, he led the continued growth of the Building & Maintenance Division, developing a strong and dedicated team while helping to shape the business into what it is today.
In 2017, Andrew was appointed Joint Managing Director before becoming Managing Director in 2018. Throughout his time in the role, he has successfully led Houlton through periods of growth, change and challenge, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the company's restructure in 2021. His leadership, experience and commitment have played a significant role in the company's continued success.
As Andrew steps into retirement, he hands over the role of Managing Director to Mike Johnson, who will lead Houlton into its next chapter. While Andrew is stepping back from his day-to-day responsibilities, we're pleased that he'll continue to support the business behind the scenes, spending time with the team each week to provide guidance, share his experience and help ensure a smooth transition.
Andrew's dedication to Houlton has left a lasting impact on the business and the people within it. On behalf of everyone at Houlton, we'd like to thank him for his outstanding contribution over the past 26 years and wish him a long, happy and well-deserved retirement.
